Mizata Resort is located on Santa Maria de Mizata - a small beach village along the "Litoral Highway" at the last point break at the west coast of El Salvador (about 1 hour and 15 min away from the airport).

The resort has 5 spacious rooms with 2 queensize beds, futon, cable TV, A/C, private bathroom and ocean view. Each room has it's own unique mural of the ocean to remind you of what you've come here for "surfing". The resort has a little restaurant, pool, showers, sun deck, board rental and tours.

The (Mizata) beach has a couple of different waves, an A frame beach break, a river mouth, a point break and a Slab, all at walking distance from each other, you will find one working better that the other depending on the conditions, but in general this beach is good with small to medium size swells.

It’s not unusual to find yourself out at the point, in decent to epic surf, by yourself. They offer daily surf transfers to all the breaks in the area. There are about 20 spots within minutes from the Villa and a couple of them are places that only you and your group will have access to (surf transfers are included in the package).

El Salvador is packed with world-class waves! They generally have waves all year round, but the best season is from March - October. The majority of the breaks you'll surf are right hand points, but also a couple of really good river mouth breaks as well as several empty beach breaks near-by.

The "state" of La Libertad has many surf breaks along the coast most of them are cobblestone point breaks, like world class Punta Roca, there is also a variety of river mouths and many miles of good quality beach break. The point breaks are usually uncrowded during the week, expect to find some surfers from the Capital city on weekends but that is not a problem because your guide knows all the breaks and you will have many surf spots to choose from, like Conchalio, K59, Sunzal, El Zonte, Mizata and many others.

Punta Roca: Perfection is the more suitable word to describe this wave, probably, one of the best right points breaks in the world, breaking on a rocky bottom it gets hollow all the way, giving you the chance to get really long barrels.

Conchalío: A powerful beach break- its sand bottom makes these waves very hollow. Breaking better at high tide, this is one El Salvador's finest beach breaks.

Sunzal: This is the longest ride around. Along with Punta Roca el Sunzal point break can hold the biggest swells on La Libertad area (and is very consistent). The ride is about 200m long, it’s a fun, hot dog wave for beginners to advanced surfers. Also a good long boarder’s type of wave, but it does have some really good sections for short board or a fish.

Zonte: A fun rippable right hand point break that’s sheltered by mountains and an impressive cliff so its protected from any wind. There's also a left on the other side of the point at the river mouth.

K59 and K61: Both right points, with cobblestone bottom and some barreling sections in the inside, it gets especially good on 4 feet + swells. These spots are uncrowded with just a few locals on the water.

PRICES ARE IN NZ$. Please note most of these prices are ex Auckland and subject to currency fluctuations, flight availability and dates of travel. High season surcharges may apply.
