Enjoy the view out to SCAR REEF and when you feel like it, grab your board and paddle out or organize the hotels boat to transfer you out to the break (a return trip is around Rp30,000 per person).

SCAR REEF is a long hollow left hand wave. It is best at lower tides. Either side of low tide will cause this wave to break further down the line towards the headland. Scar Reef picks up plenty of swell depending on swell direction. This wave has a lot of power so be prepared for hold downs if you go over the falls.

Inside Scars or Little Bingin is fun for all standards of surfers. It is a left and right hander that works best on mid and high tides. It can be surfed from 2 foot to solid 6 feet. When Scar Reef is a solid 6 foot this will be 3 to 4 feet. There is another right-hander on the western side of the bay called Phantoms, which needs a good swell and no wind. There's other breaks down the coast toward Maluk (worth a visit!).

SUPER SUCKS: This is the most famous and sought after wave on this rugged coast. It is however Sumbawa's most fickle surfing spot. When Supersuck is working however it is really working and will make your trip to Sumbawa more than worthwhile. Big walls of water break off a boil rock on the outside of the bay and that bowls and winds down the reef for a few hundred metres (need the booties).

YO-YOs: Just south of Supersuck is your best bet when everything else is small. This beautiful bay offers two different spots. The first is about 400 metres from a towering cliff. It is a right, sometimes called The Hook, which gets real good and holds up to six feet of swell. The second wave here, located right up against the cliff is called The Wedge, and can handle six to eight feet of swell before closing out. It consists of a shifty and mushy outside peak that winds into fast and bowling inside section.
