Ever wanted a resort where the surf is at your fingertips and your partner can completely relax while you’re in the line-up catching barrels?

Sinalei is a great resort for couples with a fantastic white sandy beach and beautifully landscaped gardens. It’s a resort in the true sense of the word, with fantastic facilities/amenities including a great spa and massage complex to help you unwind or relax after a tough day by the pool, on the beach or in the water!

Sinalei Reef Resort has one of the best locations on the South Coast of the island situated on a tropical white sandy beach in front of a reef pass. The reef pass is home to “Coconuts Right” which is a long right hand reef, with the surf breaking in relatively deeper water on its day the sections can all line up to give you an insanely long ride.

There are a handful of other surf breaks all within a short distance from the resort including “Boulders” point break, the best left hand point break on the island.

The resort offers access to the surrounding surf breaks through a local surf operator. They can get you into the line-up first thing in the morning so you can get your quota for tubes for the day and be back in time for breakfast with your partner.

The winter season sees very consistent south swells with east trade winds, Summer still sees consistent south swells and north swells, and the trade winds switch to a very light northerly direction. These trades all year round generally come up mid/late morning and back off late afternoon.

In general surf in Samoa is recommended for the intermediate or better surfer; having made that statement, there are often times that people on any ability can paddle out and have fun.

Twenty nine stunningly appointed Fales nestle into the tropical landscape offering views of the surf breaks and gorgeous turquoise lagoon or the manicured tropical garden. The lead-in rooms are the Traditional fales, then gardenview fales which maintain a spacious and airy ambience. Privacy and seclusion are captured in this peaceful garden setting. Offering 1 King bed/1 rollaway, Tea & Coffee making facilities, air-conditioning, DD telephone, ensuite bathroom with outdoor shower in a tropical atrium. Other fales range through the oceanview fales, beachside fales and right up to the suites and executive fales.

Sinalei boasts 3 restaurants and bars- with the pick of these being the “Ava Bar”. A wonderful setting over the water and featuring a fresh water spring pool at the end of the pier for that refreshing cool dip or just feeding the interesting assortment of tropical fish. Absorb the panoramic ocean view and the surf breaks (C’Coconuts Right”) out front as you quench your thirst with a cocktail or cold Vailima (Samoa’s very own beer).

As well as surfing in the un-crowded pristine South Pacific Ocean, or relaxing by their pool, Sinalei offers a number of scheduled activities in and out of the water. Additional activities include fishing, snorkelling, kayaking, village walks, volleyball, island tours and nightlife excursions.

Day tours to Samoa’s best attractions and sights- Enjoy a swim, snorkel and lunch at Lalomanu’s white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. Drive through Lemafa Pass and marvel at the tallest mountain on the island (Mt Fao). Explore the mountains of Upolu, where you will encounter the islands longest waterfall (Papapapaitai Falls). Visit the local markets to score yourself a bargain or experience an amazing snorkel, swim and bite to eat at the renowned Palolo Deep Marine Reserve.

And finally the massage and Spa centre … relax, unwind … rejuvenate your body and your senses. At this enchanting setting, they offer a variety of massages and beauty treatments using medicinal plants and herbs that have been used by Samoans for thousands of years. Relax in their spring water plunge pool. Taste and enjoy our complimentary freshly squeezed juices and herbal teas.
