There is an A-frame peak right out in front of the resort and the islands most known break - Pango Point - just off to the right. Pango Point is a right hand reef/point break which can be surfed nearly all tides depending on size. There are several other breaks in this area- most of them reef breaks but there are some nice beach breaks at Teouma Bay.

The best swell direction is South/South West (from lows that come up the Tasman Sea), although New Caledonia and New Zealand a lot of these. However, swells that pass under NZ and pump South East swells are quite consistent and powerful (3-5ft+) during the winter months. Unfortunately, with these swells come the South East trade winds (April/May - Dec), so the best bet is to surf early in the morning before they come up. There are, however, breaks in this area and on the other side of the island which are offshore in these winds.

PRICES ARE IN NZ$. Please note most of these prices are ex Auckland and subject to currency fluctuations, flight availability and dates of travel. High season surcharges may apply.
